Nicholas and the Near Death Experience is a band that plays contemporary original songs in the blues and jazz idiom. We also play select covers from across the decades which suit our temperament. Nicholas, the main songwriter, is an experienced playwrite and screenwriter, and has also written a few edgy and successful musicals. Nicholas’s love of a good lyric and potent songs as presented by some of Sydney’s best jazz musos, is the key to this outfit. Sometimes it’s a sad key.
